We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Foston Hall a women's closed prison in Foston, Derbyshire.
We are recruiting for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to support the wider healthcare team on a bank basis.Salary
This position is a bank role paying £15.80 per hour.
Hours Potential shifts below; Days 7.00am - 8.00pm with 1 hour break Nights - 7.45pm - 7.15am The maximum hours you can work on bank is 22.5 hours per week.How will we support you?

#LI-NB1Main duties of the job
As our Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, both in the healthcare department and on the wings
- Facilitate clinics, including bloods, observations (obs), ECGs, NHS Health checks etc
- Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages
- Support the nursing team with all aspects of care
- Act as a second checker in pharmacy as required
- Support receptions (new patients entering the prison) and assist with triaging new patients
- You will primarily be working within the primary care.

Qualifications required
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
