Job Description Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – GP Practice Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join a busy and supportive GP Practice in Northampton. Working closely with the Practice Nursing Team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting a wide range of clinical services, and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HCA looking to develop their career within Primary Care. Provide a high-quality phlebotomy service Undertake NHS Health Checks and routine health assessments Assist with wound care, infection prevention and control, and minor surgical procedures Process laboratory samples and maintain accurate clinical records using SystmOne Restock clinical rooms and maintain medical supplies Support health promotion initiatives and patient education Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary primary care team What We’re Looking ForEssential ~ Phlebotomy Certificate Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care Previous experience working within General Practice Experience undertaking NHS Health Checks Permanent position within a supportive GP Practice Opportunity to develop clinical skills within Primary Care Ongoing training and professional development Company pension Health & wellbeing programme On-site parking Referral programme If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for your next opportunity within Primary Care, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
