HGV Service Planner & Administrator 📍 Location: Reading area 💰 Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 plus bonus 📄 Job Type: Full-time | Permanent ⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am – 12:00pm We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Service Planner & Administrator to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle service operation in the Reading area. This is a key role within the service department, responsible for coordinating workshop bookings, supporting customers throughout the repair process, and ensuring accurate administration and invoicing. The Role You will be responsible for: * Booking vehicles in for servicing, routine maintenance, MOTs, and additional repairs * Managing workshop capacity and scheduling appointments * Keeping customers updated on vehicle progress and any delays * Preparing and processing job cards * Supporting MOT administration and invoicing * Scanning and filing service documentation * Ordering parts and subcontract work where required * Raising invoices and maintaining accurate vehicle history records * Carrying out customer follow-up calls after workshop visits * Promoting additional workshop services where appropriate This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will need to be organised, proactive, and confident communicating with both customers and colleagues.
