HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights – StoresPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver and are looking for consistent night shift work within a professional transport operation.Shifts:Monday to FridayPM start times between 20:00 and 02:00Rates of Pay:£18.25 per hourBenefits:Excellent hourly ratesOngoing workWeekly payOn-site canteenImmediate starts availableEmployee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries (approximately 5 drops per shift)Operating HGV Class 1 / Category C+E vehicles safely and efficientlyCarrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspectionsEnsuring all goods are loaded and secured correctlyAdhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulationsCommunicating effectively with the transport office and customersReporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirementsAssisting with loading and unloading when requiredEssential Skills:Valid UK Category C+E Driving LicenceMinimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehiclesNo more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph CardGood spoken and written EnglishExcellent punctuality and timekeepingStrong xkybehq understanding of UK road traffic lawsEffective communication skillsDesirable Experience:Previous experience driving commercial vehiclesTraining:Driver assessment required prior to startingOngoing industry-related training and supportApply:If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
