People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Aston, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category C+E Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Rates of Pay:
Days (06:00 - 18:00) - £17.50 per hour
Nights (18:00 - 06:00) - £18.50 per hour
Saturday - £20.00 per hour
Sunday - £21.50 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Sunday
5 days out of 7

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will work:
Completing refrigerated deliveries with a maximum of three store deliveries per shift
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements
Assisting with loading and unloading where required
Completing deliveries with no handball involved
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
A valid UK Category C+E Licence
A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C+E vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
A valid Driver CPC Card
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good spoken and written English xwzovoh
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Previous commercial driving experience
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Industry-related training provided
Ongoing support throughout your assignment
