People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Doncaster.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role is ideal for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent day-shift work.
This role may be suitable for candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Weekend work available
Start times between 04:00 and 08:00
Pay Rate:
£17.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)
£18.00 per hour (Weekends)

Day to Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include:
Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
Adhering to UK road traffic laws and transport regulations
Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C+E vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
No major endorsement codes
Valid UK Driver CPC Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Good spoken and written English
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver , LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver would be beneficial. xwzovoh
Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
Driver assessment required prior to starting
One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
Ongoing industry-related training and support
