HGV Class 1 Container Driver - Warrington, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Container Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £19.00 per hour. Rates of Pay: £18.00 per hour (Days) £19.00 per hour (Nights) Weekly pay Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday AM starts between 04:00 - 06:00 PM starts between 18:00 - 20:00 Overtime available Ongoing assignments Immediate starts available Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver are: Excellent hourly rates of pay Weekly pay Ongoing work Overtime opportunities Site canteen Immediate starts available Employee well-being programme Driver assessment and paid induction Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will work: Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence A minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card No more than six penalty points for minor offences No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes Excellent punctuality and timekeeping A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation Strong communication skills Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting One-day paid induction following a successful assessment Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply: If you are looking for ongoing HGV Class 1 driving work with excellent rates of pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and long-term prospects, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
