People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's well-established transport team based in Motherwell .

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Distribution Driver or Store Delivery Driver .

• £16.00 - £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
• Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently   • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and completing all required documentation   • Loading and delivering goods between designated locations   • Operating double-decker trailers where required   • Ensuring all loads are secured safely before transport   • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers   • Adhering to all road traffic legislation, health and safety procedures and company policies   • Completing all delivery paperwork accurately and on time
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence   • A valid UK CPC Qualification Card   • A valid Digital Tachograph Card   • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements)   • A reliable, professional and punctual attitude   • A good level of physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties where required   • A good understanding of road safety and transport compliance
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience within retail or distribution deliveries   • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
Training Provided
• Full onboarding support provided   • Paid two-day site induction   • Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
