HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 tipper driver - Night shift average 42 hours a week We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Bulk haulage department. We will be working with a key customer providing internal site movements in a large clay works 24hours 7 days a week. The candidate will be working on a shift pattern and will be trained to self load using loading shovels and other customer equipment. The shift pattern will be 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off of 12 hour shifts. Applicants will be working a night shift Key Skill Requirements for driver Act in a professional and friendly manner Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks. Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws Ensure all apps are kept up to date Able to work on own initiative and part of a team Report any issues effectively and promptly to management Be able to work to a productive nature. Be willing to drive other machinery. Qualifications and Skills For driver Full driving licence In date driver CPC and digital tachograph Sound geographical knowledge of UK and be able to use a road atlas. Posses good literacy and numeracy skills. Have a reason able level of fitness Presentable, good attitude and polite.
