- Nights – Stores People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver and are looking for consistent night shift work within a professional transport operation.
Shifts: Monday to Friday PM start times between 20:00 and 02:00 Rates of Pay: £18.25 per hour Benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay On-site canteen Immediate starts available Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries (approximately 5 drops per shift) Operating HGV Class 1 / Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills: Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good spoken and written English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping Strong understanding xwzovoh of UK road traffic laws Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
