Shift Pattern: Average of 5 days per week/48 hours per week Join Our Team Are you an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver looking to join a leading food manufacturing business? We're looking for reliable, safety-focused drivers to play a key role in delivering our products to customers and distribution sites while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.
As a Class 1 Day Driver, you'll be an important ambassador for our business, ensuring our products reach their destination safely, efficiently, and on time. What You'll Be Doing Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to deliver food products in line with planned routes and schedules.
Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time, providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
Complete all transport and delivery documentation accurately, using digital systems and technology where required.
Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects and ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant.
Comply with all relevant transport legislation, including Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), tachograph regulations, and vehicle load security requirements.
Support operational requirements by covering routes and adapting to changing business needs.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
Champion health, safety, and food safety standards across all aspects of your role.
Work collaboratively with transport, warehouse, and production teams to ensure smooth operations. What We're Looking For Essential Requirements Valid Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles within the last 3 years.
Current Driver CPC qualification.
Good working knowledge of tachograph and driver hours legislation.
Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service. Skills & Attributes Excellent attention to detail.
Flexible approach and willingness to support operational demands.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Effective team player with good communication skills.
