People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and flexible working with a large national client.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Rates of Pay:
£19.20 per hour Monday to Friday
£20.35 per hour Saturday and Sunday
Holiday pay accrued separately
Shift Pattern:
Tuesday to Saturday: start times between 20:00 and 23:00
Tuesday to Saturday: start times between 11:00 and 14:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:
Completing Class 1 trunking runs from depot to depot
Carrying out occasional deliveries to supermarkets
Completing occasional supplier collections when required
Operating refrigerated trailers safely and efficiently
Conducting daily vehicle checks
Ensuring all loads are secure and transported safely
Adhering to UK traffic laws and company procedures
No handball required
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
A valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
Experience operating refrigerated xkybehq trailers
Desirable Experience:
Good knowledge of the UK road network
Experience working with chilled vehicles or refrigerated trailers
Training:
Driving assessment required prior to starting
Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
