- Willenhall, West Midlands | Earn up to £19.39 per hour | Monday to Friday | Days & Afternoons Available | Ongoing Work | Weekly Pay | Temp to Perm People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Willenhall, West Midlands .

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading supplier of household goods, offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine temporary-to-permanent opportunities.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, CE Driver, CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Store Delivery Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver .

Shifts • Monday to Friday • Day shifts – Start times between 03:00 and 06:00 • Afternoon shifts – Start times between 12:00 and 16:00 • Some weekend availability required Rates of Pay • Days – £18.00 per hour • Afternoons – £19.39 per hour • Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Temporary to permanent opportunities • Immediate starts available • On-site canteen • Vending machines and pool tables • Employee Wellbeing Programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include: • Driving and operating Category CE (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing between 8 and 10 store deliveries per shift using rolled cages • Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections before and after each shift • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant before transportation • Completing delivery paperwork and records accurately • Following Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive and all road traffic legislation • Communicating professionally with the transport office and store staff • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading where required Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience • Valid Driver CPC Card • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Experience operating a variety of trailer types • Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach • Flexible to work overtime when required • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet delivery deadlines Desirable Experience • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience • Previous store delivery or multi-drop experience • Experience using rolled cages Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine temporary-to-permanent opportunities, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch to discuss the role further. xwzovoh
