HGV Class 1 Shunter – Warrington, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £18.78 per hour, 4 on 4 off, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business.
Shifts: • 4 on 4 off • Shift 18:00
- 06:00 Rates of Pay: £18.78 per hour Benefits: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates of pay • Weekly pay • Ongoing work • Overtime opportunities • Site canteen • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme • Driver assessment and paid induction • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: • Completing Yard shunting duties, vehicle movements • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Unitt movements on the yard • Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of six months' Category CE driving experience • A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation • Strong communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous experience driving commercial xwzovoh Category CE vehicles • Previous shunting experience would be advantageous Training: • Driver assessment required prior to starting • One-day paid induction following a successful assessment • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply: If you are looking for ongoing HGV Class 1 driving work with excellent rates of pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and long-term prospects, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
