HGV Class 1 Driver (Steel Deliveries) - Kingswinford | £17.50 - £19.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | 04:00-07:00 Starts | Steel Deliveries | Ongoing Work | Weekly Pay People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing Monday to Friday work, immediate starts and genuine long-term opportunities working with steel deliveries. Please note: Previous experience transporting steel is essential for this role. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Category CE Driver, C+E Driver, Steel Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, HGV Driver or Commercial Driver . Shifts • Monday to Friday  • Start times between 04:00-07:00 Rates of Pay • £17.50 - £19.00 per hour (depending on experience)  • Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates  • Monday to Friday working  • Ongoing work  • Weekly pay  • Immediate starts available  • On-site canteen  • Employee Wellbeing Programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include: • Delivering steel products to commercial customers throughout the UK  • Securing steel loads safely using industry-approved load restraint techniques  • Driving and operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections  • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure and compliant before transport  • Completing delivery paperwork accurately  • Following Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive and all road traffic legislation  • Providing a professional and courteous service to customers  • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence  • Valid Driver CPC Card  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card  • Minimum of 18 months' Class 1 driving experience  • Previous experience transporting steel (essential)  • Experience securing steel loads safely using straps and chains  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes  • Good spoken and written English  • Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach Desirable Experience • Previous steel, engineering or construction deliveries  • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience  • Experience working within a fast-paced transport operation Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with previous steel delivery experience looking for excellent rates of pay, ongoing Monday to Friday work and genuine long-term opportunities, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch to discuss the role further.
