People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers who are looking for stability, excellent earning potential and long-term progression with one of Chesterfield's leading logistics companies.
This role may be suitable for candidates with experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver , Category C Driver or Truck Driver .
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
07:00 start times
Pay Rate:
£14.50 to £18.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 2 Driver , your duties will include:
Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
Delivering kitchen and bedroom products to customers' homes alongside a Driver's Mate
Completing loading and unloading duties safely and accurately
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures
Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff
Completing multi-drop deliveries
Undertaking some handball duties as part of the role
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:
Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
Valid UK CPC Card
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
No IN, DR, DD or CD convictions
Reliable, professional and punctual approach
Good communication and customer service skills
Understanding of road safety and compliance requirements
Ability to work effectively with a Driver's Mate
Desirable xwzovoh Experience:
Previous commercial driving experience
Multi-drop delivery experience
Experience handling large or bulky goods
Strong customer service skills
Training:
Full industry-related training provided
Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
