The Role
As an
HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver , you will be based in
Kettering
and undertake long-distance distribution and multi-drop delivery routes to customer premises across
Scotland . You will be responsible for safely operating an
HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle , completing multiple deliveries and ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time. The role involves working away from base as part of the tramping operation, with
£35 nightly allowance
provided for truck stop stays. Key Responsibilities
Safely operate an
HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle Complete long-distance deliveries from Kettering to Scotland Carry out
multi-drop deliveries
to restaurant and customer premises Load and unload goods safely Carry out manual handling and heavy lifting when required Complete daily vehicle walk-around and safety checks Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and tachograph records Comply fully with
drivers' hours and tachograph regulations Plan and manage driving time and delivery schedules effectively Work independently while away from base Provide professional customer service at every delivery Report vehicle defects and other issues promptly Maintain the vehicle to a high standard HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements
