You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.Theyrea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyourecomfortable.
Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyoullbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.
Key Role Responsibilities
Wedontmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sotheresplenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyoullstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
Youllmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,youllneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.
Youllbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
