As an authorised Mercedes-Benz Unimog Service Partner, they support a wide range of specialist vehicles and equipment for customers across multiple industries.
The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team in Cwmbran.
You will work in a modern workshop environment alongside an experienced engineering team, carrying out maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on a range of commercial vehicles and specialist equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Carrying out vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnostics and fault-finding
Completing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
MOT preparation and compliance work
Working on specialist vehicles including Mercedes-Benz Unimog products
Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
Supporting workshop efficiency and quality objectives
Requirements
Essential
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV, Commercial Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Previous experience working on HGVs, commercial vehicles or heavy equipment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
Desirable
Full UK driving licence
IRTEC qualification
LOLER qualification
Additional industry qualifications
