• Hours: Mon - Thu 10:00 to 18:00, Fri 10:30 to 18:00

We are seeking a HGV Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled in vehicle maintenance and repair, providing a high standard of fault diagnosis and ensuring safety and efficiency in our fleet operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide a high standard of fault diagnosis on vehicles.
• Carry out periodic safety inspections on vehicles to DVSA inspection manual standards.
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and decommissioning inspections.
• Conduct repairs and MOT preparation, presenting vehicles for their annual MOT inspection.
• Work to minimise vehicle downtime through efficient repair work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Level 5 qualification (e.g., Diplomas of HE and FE, foundation degrees, and HNDs).
• Relevant work experience in a similar role, demonstrating a practical knowledge base equivalent to formal qualifications.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
