HGV Technician

We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial business in Stretford, Manchester. This is a role suited to someone with previous experience working with HGVs, as you will be carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and warranty work on vehicles. What’s on offer? * £51,500 per year (plus annual bonus) * £2,500 joining bonus (after passing probation) * Tue – Fri | 7pm – 7am * Contribution pension up to 8% * Company car scheme with a new VW Group car every 6 months * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Full holiday pay and sick pay * Excellent training, career development and technical support * Loan car scheme * ISA saving scheme * Mortgage overpayment support * Virtual GP, health cash plan and free flu jab vouchers * Gym membership support What will you be doing as an HGV Technician? * Carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and warranty work on HGVs and large commercial vehicles * Interpreting instructions from job cards and repair orders * Completing work in line with repair instructions and manufacturer standards * Accurately recording work completed and tests carried out * Identifying and reporting additional work or vehicle faults * Keeping up to date with technical information and training What will you need? * NVQ Level 2 in HGV Service & Maintenance or equivalent * Previous experience working with HGVs * Previous experience in a workshop environment * Strong understanding of large commercial vehicle systems * Ability to follow job cards, repair instructions and technical guidance Interested?
