Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)  Location: Bromley, London Pay: £100 – £120 per day Contract: Full-time | Long-term temporary Start Date: 8 September 2026 Transparency Education is recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a long-term primary school role in Bromley. This position is ideal for an HLTA who is comfortable taking greater responsibility within the classroom, delivering planned learning and leading targeted interventions while supporting teaching across the primary age range. HLTA responsibilities • Deliver lessons and learning activities under agreed teacher direction. • Provide classroom cover when required. • Lead individual and small-group interventions. • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 depending on school requirements. • Adapt activities for different abilities and additional needs. • Monitor pupil engagement and progress. • Support positive behaviour and classroom routines. • Work collaboratively with teachers and other Teaching Assistants. Requirements • Previous experience working at HLTA level or substantial primary classroom experience. • HLTA status or a relevant qualification is highly desirable. • Confidence leading groups and delivering planned lessons. • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum. • Strong behaviour-management and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Right to work in the UK.
