Your new company Hays Education are currently working with a number of primary schools who are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistant job to start in September. There are a mixture of roles that start with the potential for the role to be extended for the right candidate. These job roles are available across both KS1 and KS2 in a mixture of mainstream and SEN schools and will require you to provide additional support to pupils. The current roles on offer include day-to-day, short-time and long-time roles depending on the school, so whatever it is you are looking for, we will have something to suit your needs. This is a great opportunity to experience different schools in the area to find the one that suits you. Your new role This role is to support class teachers who need to take time out of their days to plan and prepare lessons, as well as working on a 1:1 basis with pupils that are struggling/falling behind at work. You may be expected to cover various classes in both KS1 and KS2, so you need to be flexible and experience across both key stages is desirable but not essential, as the school are looking for an individual that is willing to learn. As you will be working as a PPA cover teacher, all lessons will be pre-planned, but it will be full class cover.
