Are you a passionate Catering Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity from September?
We are working with a SEN secondary school in Middlesbrough who are looking for a dedicated Catering Teacher to join their Technology Department on a 0.3 timetable.
The Role
As a Catering Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging Food & Catering lessons
Teach students across the relevant Key Stages
Develop students' practical cooking and food preparation skills
Support students in developing their knowledge of nutrition, food science and healthy eating
Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations where required
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety and practical working
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Technology Department
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
Has experience teaching Food Technology, Catering or Food Preparation & Nutrition
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has strong subject knowledge and practical experience
Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Is committed to supporting students' progress and development
Can work effectively as part of a wider Technology team
Is available for a 0.3 timetable from September
