This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, youll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What you'll do
Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
Where there is a need, youll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, youll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.
Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You have
Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties
Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues
The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
A can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

The practical bits
Working on a rota across 7 days of the week, weekends will be shared equally across the team. Usual working hours are between 8am and 8pm (7.5 hours a day)
Based at our services across the Middlesbrough area, youll be supporting customers who have complex mental health needs and secondary diagnosis of either a learning disability, autism spectrum or neurological condition.
This is a busy service where no two days will be the same!
Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
