We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Birmingham-based Housing Association for an experienced Housing Officer to join the team on an initial 4-month contract. This is a varied housing management role covering a generic tenancy management caseload, with responsibility for delivering an effective and customer-focused housing service to residents. The role will involve a mixture of office-based, home-based and community work, so you will need to be comfortable managing your own caseload, attending appointments and visiting properties and tenants when required. Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer: Manage a caseload of residential tenancies from start to finish. Deal with day-to-day tenancy management matters and resident enquiries. Manage and investigate Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases. Take appropriate action to address breaches of tenancy and tenancy-related issues. Conduct tenancy visits and property inspections where required. Identify and respond to tenancy breaches, safeguarding concerns and other housing-related issues. Work with residents to resolve tenancy issues and sustain tenancies wherever possible. Liaise with internal teams, local authorities and external agencies where appropriate.
