Housing Officer
Our client, a well-established business in Plymouth, is looking to recruit a
Housing Officer
to manage a portfolio of tenancies and help deliver a high-quality housing management service.
This is a varied role that involves supporting residents, managing tenancies, addressing anti-social behaviour, and working closely with communities to ensure residents can sustain their tenancies and enjoy safe, thriving neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a patch of residential properties and act as the main point of contact for residents. Conduct tenancy visits, estate inspections, and neighbourhood walkabouts. Support new tenancy sign-ups and tenancy sustainment activities. Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour cases. Manage tenancy breaches and enforce tenancy conditions where required. Work with residents to resolve issues relating to rent, property management, and community wellbeing. Liaise with internal teams, local authorities, and support agencies. Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals. Maintain accurate records and case notes using housing management systems. Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with residents. Requirements
Previous experience in housing management, tenancy management, customer service, or a similar role. Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management practices is desirable. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently. Good IT and administrative skills. Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour cases would be advantageous. Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
