HR Business Partner – 6-Month FTC

Location: Llantrisant | Salary: Circa £48,000 | Contract: Six‑month fixed‑term contract | Hours: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, site‑based | Start: ASAP

Are you an operational HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of the business? We’re recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to join a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Llantrisant. This is a visible, influential role offering the opportunity to work closely with the Site Leadership Team, support managers through complex people matters and make a genuine impact across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for an established HR Business Partner or an ambitious, experienced HR Advisor ready to take the next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across the site.
  • Work closely with the permanent HR Advisor, providing day‑to‑day guidance and support.
  • Take ownership of a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management.
  • Proactively contribute to Site Leadership Team meetings and influence operational decision‑making.
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice that balances business priorities with positive people outcomes.
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, including staff forums, newsletters and wider site activities.
  • Build strong relationships across the workforce and maintain a visible, approachable HR presence.
  • Produce meaningful HR reports and track information to support business objectives.
  • Ensure HR processes and documentation remain accurate, compliant and up‑to‑date.

Requirements

  • Strong operational HR experience at HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level.
  • Confidence managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with managers and senior stakeholders.
  • A practical, resilient and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Experience within manufacturing or another fast‑paced, operational environment would be highly advantageous.
  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Availability to start at short notice.

Additional Information

This role offers far more than simply maintaining the day‑to‑day HR function. You’ll have the scope to influence managers, contribute to leadership discussions and help shape a positive and engaged working environment during an important period for the site.
