HSE Advisor - Gas Industry Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits Location: Speke, Liverpool (Hybrid working with regular travel to operational sites) Type: Permanent HRGO Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities and infrastructure sector for an experienced HSE Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a health and safety professional with experience in gas, utilities or infrastructure environments to support the safe delivery of operational projects. You will work closely with operational teams, project managers and contractors, providing practical HSE guidance, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture. The role: Supporting teams with day to day HSE guidance, ensuring safe working practices are embedded throughout projects. Reviewing and developing key safety documentation including RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and Traffic Management Plans. Providing assurance through site visits, inspections and audits, identifying risks and helping teams implement effective solutions. Advising project teams and contractors on legal requirements, company standards and best practice. Supporting investigations into incidents, near misses and safety concerns, helping to identify improvements and prevent recurrence. Assisting with risk assessment activities, including HAZID, HAZOP and hazardous area reviews. Delivering safety briefings, toolbox talks and engagement activities to encourage positive safety behaviours. Maintaining accurate HSE records and supporting internal, client and external compliance reviews. Contributing to the continual improvement of HSE processes, procedures and systems.The candidate: You will have previous experience as an HSE Advisor within the gas, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors, with: Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015, PUWER, LOLER and Working at Height Regulations. Experience producing RAMS, CPPs and Traffic Management Plans. Experience conducting site inspections and audits. Knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP and risk management processes. Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Full UK driving licence.Qualifications Ideally, you will hold: NEBOSH General Certificate (essential). NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desirable).
