Ther Role:

As HR Advisor, you’ll provide a high-quality HR advisory service across a diverse group of businesses, working closely with HR Business Partners and the wider People team.

It’s a busy and varied position where priorities can change quickly, so you’ll need to be confident managing multiple cases, working independently and providing clear, commercially focused advice.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing practical and legally compliant HR advice to managers across the organisation
  • Managing a varied Employee Relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and organisational change
  • Building strong relationships with managers and colleagues across multiple sites
  • Supporting HR Business Partners with wider people projects and organisational priorities
  • Advising managers through organisational change and helping them understand the people implications
  • Ensuring HR policies, employment legislation and regulatory requirements are consistently followed
  • Identifying trends and opportunities to improve HR processes and people practices
  • Contributing to change programmes and wider People initiatives
  • Managing a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, professionalism and sound judgement


Profile:

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who can hit the ground running and is comfortable operating in a busy, people-focused environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:


  • Strong Employee Relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and organisational change
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing a high-volume and complex caseload
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The confidence to advise and influence managers at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Resilience, professional credibility and sound judgement


A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as the role involves regular travel across services in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
