The Role

From a recruitment perspective, this position offers exposure to complex and meaningful work, including:

  • Advising individuals, organisations, and interest groups on human rights matters
  • Handling claims involving civil liberties, discrimination, unlawful detention, and breaches of fundamental rights
  • Managing judicial review proceedings and public law challenges
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal submissions
  • Representing clients in court proceedings and liaising with counsel where required
  • Conducting legal research and staying informed on legislative and case law developments
  • Supporting strategic litigation and policy-related work where appropriate
  • Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in human rights, public law, or civil liberties work
  • Fluent in both English and Russian (spoken and written)
  • Strong advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Passionate about social justice and access to legal representation
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and work effectively within a team
  • Ambitious and motivated to develop within a leading specialist practice
