HV Fitter (GIA/AIS)

Role: * Installing and maintaining HV equipment and switchgear, including AIS and GIS systems up to 132kV * Working on power transformers, protection panels, battery chargers, SCADA/telecontrol panels, and more * Interpreting technical drawings, setting out installation work, and ensuring all activities comply with design specs and safety standards * Collaborating with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure efficient, safe delivery of work Skills and experience * DNO industry experience in the UK * A proven track record in the construction, repair, and operation of HV equipment up to 132kV * An NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work * A sound knowledge of HV and LV systems and experience working as an Electrician (advantageous) * Familiarity with a range of switchgear, protection types, and installation/maintenance procedures * Competency using testing equipment and diagnostic tools * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and independently * A flexible approach to completing standby and out-of-hours work * A full UK driving licence – travel is essential in this role
