The HV jointer role comes with a salary of up to £43,700 basic doe, plus up a 20% performance bonus, a yearly profit share (~£8,000), guaranteed overtime and much more.

Responsibilities and duties of the HV jointer role

Reporting to the engineering manager you will:

• Carry out terminations and jointing at 33kV
• Test and fault find where necessary
• Excavate, shore, and prepare joint bays
• Adhere to strict health and safety site regulations
• Be prepared to stay away most weeks Monday-Friday

Professional qualifications

No formal qualifications required but we are looking for someone with the following experience:

• 3+ years experience jointing at 33kV or above
• Strong experience carrying out terminations and jointing
• Experience with underground/substation jointing is ideal
• Experience working in new-build substation environments is ideal

The HV jointer role would suit someone who has:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in complex, fast-changing environments
• No issue working in windy/rainy conditions when the time comes
• Collaborative, hands-on approach with a willingness to get stuck in
• Adaptable and able to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments

• £42,000 - £43,700 basic DOE (75-85k OTE)
