Import expertise. Stock accuracy. Operational excellence. Our client is seeking an experienced Import & Stock Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised professional with a strong background in import administration, stock control, and supplier management, who enjoys improving processes and driving operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, compliance, and the smooth flow of goods across the business. You will manage the movement of goods into the UK, oversee warehousing activities, and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages. The role requires a proactive approach, bringing fresh ideas to reduce errors, eliminate duplication, and maximise productivity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Import Administration: Process import entries and documentation, liaise with freight providers, and coordinate incoming shipments. * Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records and update management systems to reflect stock movements. * Stock Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies. * Supplier Coordination: Build effective supplier relationships and ensure the timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and detail-oriented, with experience managing international supply chains, optimising inventory levels, and maintaining financial accuracy. You will have at least two years' experience in import ordering and forecasting, along with strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and advanced Excel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust processes and procedures to ensure accurate forecasting, effective stock control, and compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. The role requires confidence in using multiple IT systems, including Sage 50 and Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel and PowerPoint. We are looking for a professional and confident negotiator with a proven track record of identifying opportunities for improvement, increasing efficiency, minimising discrepancies, and modernising processes. You will have demonstrated success in streamlining reporting methods and delivering measurable results within agreed timescales.
