Import clerk freight

We are recruiting for an experienced IMPORT CLERK to join a medium sized freight company in Colnbrook. You must have experience working within freight and within imports including customs entries and clearances.

The Role

• Coordinate and manage air import shipments from start to finish.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
• Arrange customs clearance and ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, customers and hauliers to ensure smooth movement of freight.
• Track shipments, resolve any issues and provide regular updates to customers.
• Ensure all files are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
• Update and maintain shipment records
• Work closely with the wider operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working within Air Freight Imports.
• Experience managing and supporting key accounts.
• Understanding of customs procedures and import documentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
