Wembley (Hybrid Working) £21.41 per hour PAYE | £28.19 per hour Umbrella Full Time Basic DBS Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Income Project Officer to join a busy Housing Management team based in Wembley. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing income professional with a strong background in rent collection, arrears management, welfare benefits and tenancy sustainment.

Working within a varied housing portfolio, you will play a key role in maximising rental income whilst supporting residents to sustain their tenancies. You'll work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to deliver excellent customer outcomes and ensure compliance with housing legislation and income recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maximise rental income through effective rent collection and arrears recovery.
• Manage complex arrears cases across a range of housing tenures.
• Provide advice and support relating to welfare benefits, Universal Credit and debt management.
• Undertake home visits and engage directly with tenants to resolve income-related issues.
• Prepare cases for legal action and attend court proceedings where required.
• Promote Direct Debit uptake and digital service usage.
• Work closely with Housing Management, Housing Needs, Adult Social Care and external agencies.
