Do work that matters

Behind every industrial disease claim is a person whose life has been changed by something that happened at work. They may be facing an uncertain future, dealing with a serious diagnosis or trying to secure answers for themselves and their family.

This is where you come in.

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our clients Industrial Disease team in Cardiff, working with clients on claims involving asbestos exposure, respiratory disease, noise induced hearing loss and other occupational illnesses. You will have the opportunity to handle your own caseload with appropriate supervision, work on complex claims and develop genuine expertise in an area of law where the work you do can have a lasting impact.

What you will do

You will take ownership of your cases, from the first conversation with a client through to resolution. That means investigating liability, reviewing medical and employment evidence, assessing quantum, preparing legal documents and building compelling cases. You will work closely with clients, medical experts, counsel and other professionals, keeping everyone informed and making sure claims continue to move forward.

You will also be part of a wider Personal Injury team where knowledge is shared, ideas are welcomed and people genuinely support one another. Alongside your caseload, you will have opportunities to contribute to business development and help shape the continued growth of our Industrial Disease work.

What we are looking for

We are interested in how you think, how you work and how you treat people.

You will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in Personal Injury, or a strong desire to develop your career in claimant work. Experience of industrial disease or asbestos related claims would be beneficial, but it is not everything.

More importantly, you will be someone who listens. Someone who can turn complicated legal issues into clear advice. Someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, manages their time well and is not afraid to take ownership. You will be commercially aware, curious about the law and comfortable working collaboratively while building trusted relationships with clients.

The firm

You will join a growing team where development is encouraged, good ideas are valued and your contribution is noticed. They invest in their people and want you to build a career here, not simply take your next job.

You will have access to professional development, support from experienced colleagues and a benefits package designed around your wellbeing and future. You will also be joining a firm with a long history, strong professional reputation and a clear ambition for what comes next.
