Injection Moulding Setter £42,000 per annum Rugby Full-Time, Permanent Overtime available + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + Company pension scheme + Free on-site parking Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Setter looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of precision mould tooling and plastic components is looking to recruit a skilled Setter to join their busy mould shop. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Setter to take ownership of machine setups, process optimisation, and troubleshooting within a modern, quality-focused production environment. The Role * Set injection moulding machines from zero to specification, checking materials, masterbatch, and inserts match job requirements * Ensure correct use of jigs, fixtures, and auxiliary equipment * Record and document setup parameters for traceability, and report cycle times and scrap variances * Conduct first-off inspections and gain approval before starting production * Respond promptly to machine alarms, identify root causes, and carry out basic maintenance checks (oil levels, water flow, heater bands, air lines, filters) * Clean and inspect tool faces and platens, replacing minor parts such as O-rings, sensors, and hoses * Run machines safely and efficiently in line with standard operating procedures, monitoring cycle times and performance * Troubleshoot process issues, optimise cycle times, and resolve material feed or drying problems * Coordinate mould sampling for new tools and process validations, working closely with Toolmakers and other Setters * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work cell in line with housekeeping standards About You * At least 5 years' experience in injection moulding setup and operation * Good understanding of mould setting, process adjustments, and troubleshooting * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve production issues efficiently * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control * Strong awareness of workplace safety standards and procedures * Technical training in plastics processing is an advantage * Experience with Engel, Arburg, or Sumitomo machines is desirable * Familiarity with robotic handling and automation is desirable * Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is desirable What's on Offer * Salary of £42,000 per annum * Overtime available * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Free on-site parking If you're a skilled Injection Moulding Setter looking to progress your career within a supportive and quality-focused mould shop, apply today
