Injection Moulding Technician

Job Title: Injection Moulding Technician Salary: £40,000 Location: Leighton Buzzard Working Hours: 6am – 2pm Overview We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join a busy and forward-thinking manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for setting and running moulding production orders, ensuring consistent high-quality output. You'll play a key role in achieving Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing, working with advanced moulding techniques and standardised processes. Key Responsibilities Set and condition injection mould tools to meet production requirements Run production orders using pre-set programmes, monitoring output quality throughout the shift Respond to machine alarms and faults, implementing permanent corrective actions Carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on injection moulding machines and tooling Control and optimise processing parameters in line with product standards and cost requirements Maintain accurate records of maintenance, production, and quality checks Support supervision of shift staff when required in the absence of a Supervisor Perform quality checks in line with company standards and identify defects Ensure safe handling and accurate movement of materials and stock Support tooling trials, processing, and optimisation for new projects Operate forklift truck when licensed Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives Skills & Experience Required Minimum 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician Experience with injection moulding machines, tooling, and process optimisation Familiarity with production or ERP systems Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset Good communication and decision-making ability High attention to detail Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles For further details, please contact Nick Sollis – 01453 829767 or email your cv Omega Resource Group are an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Construction and Manufacturing sectors.
