Injection Moulding Technician

Injection Moulding Setter Trafford, Manchester Permanent - 3 Shift Rotation (6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6) Salary - up to £40000 per annum + Company Profit Share A well-established UK manufacturer producing precision-moulded components for the construction industry is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join its production team based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This company is embarking on an exciting transformation journey, investing in its people, processes, and equipment to enhance quality and efficiency across its manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising production and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Set, monitor, and optimise injection moulding machines for efficient production cycles Complete tool changeovers and material setups safely and effectively Conduct basic mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting Operate forklifts to transport raw materials and tools (training can be provided) Maintain tooling and masterbatch storage areas in a safe and organised condition Support production with clear shift handovers and accurate record keeping Work collaboratively with the Factory Manager to identify and implement process improvements Promote best practices in health, safety, and housekeeping across all areas Qualifications / Experience: Proven experience working in plastics injection moulding (minimum 2 years preferred) Skilled in setting a variety of moulding machines, robots, sprue pickers, and granulators Confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach Mechanically minded, with the ability to fault find and suggest improvements IMT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) - desirable Strong attention to detail with a "slow down to speed up" mindset IT literate and comfortable completing shift documentation Motivated, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 3 rotating shifts - 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am Benefits: Competitive salary (£40,000 per annum) Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Supportive, hands-on working environment where your ideas are valued  For further details, please contact Nick Sollis – (phone number removed) or email your cv (url removed) Omega Resource Group are an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Construction and Manufacturing sectors.
