Our client, a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of precision mould tooling is looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their busy toolroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Toolmaker to work on high-precision mould tools within a modern, well-equipped toolroom, using the latest CAD/CAM, CNC, and EDM technology. The Role * Interpret 2D and 3D CAD designs to produce accurate tooling components * Use CAM software to generate precise machining programs for CNC and EDM equipment * Assemble and fit mould tools to engineering drawings and technical specifications * Test and adjust tools to ensure they are dimensionally accurate and functionally sound * Operate and maintain EDM machinery, selecting appropriate electrodes and settings * Operate manual and CNC milling, turning, and grinding machines to tight tolerances * Carry out inspections using micrometers, CMMs, gauges, and other metrology equipment * Maintain high-quality standards through rigorous checking and documentation About You * Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking * Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM systems (e.g. Delcam, Mastercam, or similar) * Skilled in EDM processes, including wire and spark erosion * Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and 3D models * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Familiarity with mould tool design and function is desirable * Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in toolmaking/precision engineering What's on Offer * Salary of £42,000 per annum * Days only, Monday to Friday – no shift work * Overtime available * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Free on-site parking If you're a talented Toolmaker looking to progress your career within a supportive and quality-focused toolroom environment, apply today
