Installation Electrician – LED Lighting Upgrades Location: Reading, Berkshire Contract: Temporary – 1 Month Initially, Potentially Extended Through October Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm Role Overview Trevett Services are currently recruiting for an Installation Electrician to join an established Electrical Specialist Contractor working on LED Lighting Upgrade. The successful Electrician will join an existing installation team consisting of a Lead Engineer and Electrical Improver. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrician looking for an immediate start on a Monday–Friday project, with the potential for the contract to continue through October. Key Responsibilities * Installation and replacement of LED lighting systems across Reading University. * Carrying out electrical installation works in line with project requirements. * Removal and replacement of existing lighting equipment. * Installation, termination and testing of electrical connections. * Working safely within an occupied University environment. * Working as part of a small installation team alongside a Lead Engineer and Improver. * Following electrical drawings, specifications and site instructions. * Maintaining high standards of workmanship, health & safety and housekeeping. * Supporting the Lead Engineer with the successful completion of the project. Required Qualifications & Experience * ECS Gold Card – Essential. * Level 3 18th Edition. * Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical installation experience. * Previous experience with LED lighting installations/upgrades is highly desirable. * Strong commercial electrical installation background. * Good understanding of electrical health & safety requirements. * Able to work effectively as part of a small team. * Professional and reliable approach to site work. * Previous experience working within commercial, educational or occupied environments would be advantageous. Working Hours Monday – Friday | 7:30am – 4:00pm Start Date: Monday 24th August 2026 Initial Duration: 1 month, with the potential for the project to continue through October
