Installation Technician
£30,000 basic + regular overtime | Hotels provided | £39.90 daily allowance when working away
We are currently recruiting for an Installation Technician to join a specialist organisation responsible for the delivery, installation and positioning of high-value medical and technical equipment across the UK, with occasional European travel.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work and travelling, with the potential to earn £45,000£50,000 per year through regular overtime.
What you'll be doing You'll work as part of a specialist installation and delivery team, travelling to customer sites across the UK to:
Deliver, position and install specialist medical and technical equipment
Assist with the installation and cabling of customer systems, including MR and CT scanners
Load and unload vehicles safely
Carry out manual handling and equipment positioning
Share driving and delivery responsibilities
Complete job sheets, paperwork and installation documentation
Work professionally with customers and site teams
Travel extensively and stay away from home during the working week
What's on offer? £30,000 basic salary
£45,000£50,000 typical earnings with overtime
£39.90 per day working-away allowance
Hotels provided when working away
Weekday overtime paid at 1.25x
Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x
Sunday overtime paid at 1.75x

What we're looking for Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, installation, transport, engineering or technical environments would be beneficial, but it's not essential.
Essential requirements:
Full UK driving licence
No more than 3 penalty points
Aged 21+ due to driving and insurance requirements
Genuine willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home regularly
This is a highly mobile role. Successful candidates must be genuinely comfortable being away from home Monday to Friday every week, travelling extensively across the UK and occasionally Europe, and working approximately two weekends per month.
