A consultancy supporting an NHS EPR programme is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join a large-scale Electronic Patient Record implementation.
This is a key role within the EPR programme team, responsible for designing, developing and supporting healthcare integrations that enable the seamless exchange of clinical and operational data across a complex healthcare environment.
Working alongside application, architecture and supplier teams, you'll play a critical role in delivering robust interoperability solutions while supporting existing BAU integration services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support healthcare interfaces and integrations
- Analyse, map, transform and validate clinical and operational data flows
- Develop and maintain HL7, FHIR and API-based integrations
- Investigate and resolve interface, messaging and data exchange issues
- Support EPR implementation activities including development, testing and deployment
- Work closely with technical and clinical stakeholders to deliver integration solutions
- Contribute to BAU support, enhancements and issue resolution
- Produce technical documentation, interface specifications and support procedures
- Participate in integration testing, troubleshooting and go-live activities
- Ensure compliance with healthcare interoperability standards and best practice
Essential Experience
- HL7 message mapping and transformation
- FHIR xwzovoh resource modelling and implementation
- API development and integration
- Healthcare interoperability and data exchange
- Data mapping, transformation and validation
- Troubleshooting complex integration and interface issues
Desirable Experience
- Mirth Connect, Health Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf or similar integration engines
- EPR, PAS or large-scale healthcare transformation programmes
- RESTful web services and modern integration architectures
- Clinical workflows and healthcare data standards
