Role Overview WAISL is the Tech and Digital partner of a sports and multi leisure company in Hampshire . We are helping ClientCos future Core Technology operating model across the the core sport and associated businesses. We seek an experienced Senior Technology Operations consultant to undertake a comprehensive assessment of CLIENT current technology and enterprise data landscape. The successful candidate will identify operational, governance and technical gaps, define the future Target Operating Model (TOM), and develop the roadmap required to transition towards a best-in-class managed services environment. This is a high-impact consulting assignment requiring deep expertise across Core IT Operations, Infrastructure, Enterprise Data, Service Management, Vendor Governance and Technology Transformation. Working alongside WAISL leadership, the successful candidate will engage directly with CLIENT executives and coordinate with multiple specialist teams across WAISL (procurement, cybersecurity), to design the future operating model that will underpin long-term technology delivery. The role reports to the CLIENTCO Digital Transformation Lead and WAISL Technology Solutions Lead.
1. Current State Assessment Lead a comprehensive review of Client current Technology and Data landscape across all business functions. Enterprise Data Assessment Conduct a full enterprise-wide data audit across all systems and business functions. Assess where organisational data resides and how it is currently managed. Review data ownership, stewardship and accountability across departments. Evaluate existing data governance processes and policies. Assess data quality, integrity, duplication and consistency. Review user access, permissions and security controls. Evaluate Delegation of Authority (DoA) for data creation, modification and approval. Review data lifecycle management, retention and archival processes. Identify opportunities to establish a single source of truth across the organisation. xkybehq Assess GDPR compliance and overall information governance maturity. Core Technology Assessment Undertake a detailed assessment covering: IT Infrastructure and Networks Cloud Services and End User Computing Servers, Storage and Core Platforms IT Operations and Infrastructure Management Service Desk and IT Service Management (ITSM) Hardware and Software Asset Management Technology Procurement and Vendor Management Cyber Security maturity and operational controls Technology governance, operational processes and documentation Current service scope, responsibilities and operating model with current ITMS, ITSM and IT procurement vendor Develop a comprehensive Current State Assessment highlighting: Technology and operational risks Data governance and ownership gaps Service delivery gaps Security vulnerabilities Cost optimisation opportunities Quick wins and immediate remediation actions Strategic recommendations for future improvement
