Interim Finance Business Partner (Education & DSG)

Job Opportunities – Education & DSG Finance Business Partner (Midlands Local Authority & Northwest Local Authority) Two Separate roles with similar requirements: Please see details below: Location: Hybrid / Remote (3-5 Days Per Week) Salary: DOE Start Date: TBC Contract Length: 6 Months+ Key Responsibilities: * Act as the Finance Business Partner for Education Services and the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG). * Lead budget setting, forecasting, and financial monitoring across Education budgets. * Provide financial advice and challenge to Education leaders, budget holders, and senior stakeholders. * Support DSG management, including High Needs, Schools Block, and Early Years funding. * Produce financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis. * Identify financial risks, pressures, savings, and funding opportunities. * Support budget recovery plans, SEND financial management, and DSG sustainability initiatives. * Contribute to year-end accounts, statutory returns, and audit requirements. Successful Candidates: * Fully CCAB qualified (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA). * Must have Local Authority experience. * Experience in a Finance Business Partner or Education Finance role. * Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills. * Previous experience working with DSG-funded services. * Knowledge of High Needs, SEND, Schools Funding, and Education finance. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
