Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, international organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team on a 15-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

Based in Liverpool, you will work a hybrid model with 2 days per week in the office.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong background in financial control, reporting and team leadership.
Salary/Benefits: £70,000 15-month fixed-term contract Hybrid working (2 days office based) Opportunity to join a high-growth, evolving business Excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and transformational projects Job Duties: Lead the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage the preparation and review of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
Deliver insightful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year performance.
Maintain robust financial controls and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
Act as the key contact for external auditors and coordinate the year-end audit process.
Drive continuous improvements across financial reporting processes and controls.
Support finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvement projects.
Collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners and wider business stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial information.
Lead, coach and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified finance professionals.
Support consolidated reporting across multiple entities and business units.
Who will I report in to? Head of Financial Reporting When will interviews be taking place? Interviews will be taking place as soon as possible.
Ideal Experience: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Reporting Manager position.
Proven experience leading month-end close within a complex or multi-entity environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
Extensive balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines. xwzovoh
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development.
