Working closely with operational and functional leaders, you'll provide expert people advice and support across workforce planning, employee relations, organisational change and industrial relations. You'll help leaders navigate business challenges, support organisational change and drive a positive colleague experience while ensuring business goals are achieved.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partnering with leaders and managers to deliver people plans that support business objectives and improve performance.
  • Providing practical advice, coaching and guidance on a wide range of people-related matters.
  • Managing complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Building effective relationships with recognised trade unions and employee representative groups.
  • Supporting consultation activities, organisational change projects and industrial relations matters.
  • Assisting with organisational design, restructures and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Providing guidance on TUPE transfers, business change projects and integration activities where required.
  • Supporting mobilisation, growth and contract-related activities through workforce planning and people risk management.
  • Helping leaders prepare for changes in employment legislation and best practice.
  • Using people data and insights to identify trends, manage risk and support decision-making.
  • Supporting talent, succession and workforce planning initiatives to strengthen organisational capability.
  • Promoting colleague engagement, inclusion and wellbeing, helping to create a workplace where people can thrive.

What You'll Need

  • Experience working as an HR Business Partner, People Partner or in a similar HR generalist role within a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience operating in a unionised environment, including supporting industrial relations activity and consultation processes.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation, including TUPE and collective employment matters.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
  • Sound commercial awareness and an ability to balance business needs with employee experience.
  • Experience using people data and workforce insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within transport, logistics, manufacturing, utilities or another operationally focused environment would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?
