Internal Exclusion Room Manager

38.75 hours per week

This is an important role within our behaviour and pastoral provision. The successful candidate will provide a calm, purposeful and structured environment where students can reflect on their behaviour while continuing to engage positively with their education.

You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, the Senior Leadership Team and parents to ensure that students receive appropriate support and that behavioural concerns are addressed promptly and consistently. You will also play an important role in identifying wider pastoral, safeguarding and support needs, monitoring patterns of behaviour and helping to reduce repeat incidents.

We are looking for an individual who has previous experience of working in a similar facility within a school environment and who can demonstrate the confidence, resilience and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour.

You will need to be able to build positive relationships and rapport with students while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations. You will also be confident communicating with parents and working collaboratively with teachers.

You will be highly organised, able to maintain accurate records and confident in using information and data to identify patterns and support improvements in student behaviour. Most importantly, you will have a calm and consistent approach, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping young people make positive choices and remain engaged with their education.

Why join us?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school-based professional to take a key role in supporting the school's behaviour systems and improving outcomes for students.

Further information can be found in the detailed job description and person specification below.

Tours of the school are welcome.
