People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to join our well-established client based in Cumbernauld on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, commercially minded individual who enjoys building customer relationships, generating sales opportunities and providing excellent customer service.
You don't necessarily need experience within the electrical industry. We are interested in speaking with candidates from a range of B2B sales, telesales, account management, trade sales, distribution and customer-focused commercial environments who have the personality and drive to succeed.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an Internal Sales Executive, Telesales Executive, Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, Sales Advisor, Trade Sales Executive, Customer Account Executive or Business Development Executive.
Salary: £27,000 – £34,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am–5:00pm
Occasional Saturday working – approximately one in every six weeks, paid at time and a half

Day-to-Day Duties
As an Internal Sales Executive, your duties will include:
Building and developing strong relationships with new and existing customers
Making outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to identify sales opportunities
Handling inbound sales and customer enquiries confidently and professionally
Developing existing accounts and identifying opportunities to increase business
Up selling relevant products and services
Following up quotations, enquiries and potential sales opportunities
Preparing and providing customer quotations
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Providing excellent customer support via telephone and email
Pro actively following up with customers and maintaining regular contact
Working towards individual and branch sales targets
Supporting the wider branch team with commercial and customer activities
Maintaining accurate customer and sales information
Delivering consistently high standards of customer service
Essential Skills
To be successful as an Internal Sales Executive, you will need:
Previous experience within sales, telesales, account management, customer service or another commercially focused role
Confidence speaking with customers over the telephone
The ability to build rapport and develop long-term customer relationships
A proactive approach to identifying and following up sales opportunities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A professional and customer-focused approach
Commercial awareness and the drive to achieve results
A genuine desire to develop and progress within a long-term position
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
Electrical wholesale experience
Trade counter or trade sales experience
Distribution or wholesale experience
B2B telesales experience
Previous responsibility for managing or developing customer accounts
Experience generating new business leads
Training
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
